Why people have stopped trusting builders
Almost everyone who rings us has a story about the last lot. These are the four we hear most.
Nobody turns up when they said
You book a start date, rearrange your life around it, and then spend a fortnight chasing someone who stopped answering the phone.
The price moves after you have committed
A tempting quote turns into something else entirely once the work is half done and you are in no position to walk away.
The job is left almost finished
Ninety per cent done, the last ten per cent impossible to get anyone back for, and a pile of rubble still in the garden.
Nobody explains anything
Decisions get made behind a wall you cannot see, and you only find out what was done when something goes wrong later.
None of that is complicated to avoid. It comes down to pricing a job properly before starting it, telling people the truth when something changes, and finishing the last ten per cent instead of moving on to the next job. That is the whole of our method.
What you get
What working with us actually looks like
Not a list of what we own or how long we have been going. A list of what is different for you while the work is happening.
A quote you can actually read
Itemised stage by stage rather than one lump figure, so you can see what each part costs and compare us honestly against anyone else.
Dates set before we start
You get a stage-by-stage programme with the quote, so you know roughly when the noisy weeks land and when you get your house back.
The same faces throughout
A small team rather than a rotating cast of subcontractors. The people who quote the job are the people who do it.
You hear it from us first
When something turns up behind a wall, we show you, explain the options and price them before anything else happens.
Structural work signed off
Load bearing work is notified to building control and certified, so there is nothing undocumented waiting for you at sale.
Cleared up at the end
Waste taken away, site swept, and a walk through with you so anything that needs putting right gets done before we leave.
Services
What we do
Six things, done properly. Every job starts with someone coming out to look at it, and a written price you can read line by line.

Whole house renovation“Currently renovating my sons house that he recently purchased. It's a project, like homes under the hammer. Discovered a couple of problems during the rip out. Brett came to property and advised on what needed doing to put right. We gave him the go ahead and he has completed the works to a very exceptional standard. Would not hesitate to recommend him.”

How we work
The difference is in how the job is run
Most complaints about building work come down to the same handful of things. Here is how we handle each one.
| With Rogers Renovation | What people complain about |
|---|---|
| An itemised written quote, broken down by stage | One lump-sum figure with no breakdown |
| Problems shown to you and priced before any extra work starts | Extras added to the final bill without warning |
| The same small team on site from start to finish | A rotating cast of subcontractors nobody introduced |
| Structural work done in the right order, then plastered | Finishes fitted first, then partly undone to fix what is behind them |
| Load bearing work notified and signed off by building control | Unrecorded structural changes that surface when you sell |
| Site cleared and waste taken away at the end | Rubble left in the garden for you to deal with |

A proper look at the job, and a price in writing
We come out, look at the job properly, and put a written price in front of you broken down stage by stage. If the number is not right for you, that is a perfectly good answer and you will not hear from us again.
Most quotes people show us are a single figure on a scrap of paper. Ours tells you what the strip-out costs, what the structural work costs, what the plastering costs and what the finishing costs. That is what makes it possible to decide where your money goes, and to compare us against anyone else properly.

FAQ
Questions people ask before booking
The things worth knowing before you commit to anyone, including the three questions people search for most before starting a renovation.
For a typical three-bedroom house, expect somewhere between three and six months, depending on how much structural work is involved and whether you are living in it. A single room is usually a matter of weeks. You get a stage-by-stage programme with your quote, so the dates are visible from the start rather than discovered as you go.
